WESTERN NEW YORK QUEEN’S TOURNAMENT ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS AND RULES
This tournament is open only to USBC-CERTIFIED FEMALE MEMBERS in the following Associations: Greater Buffalo, Tonawandas, Niagara Falls, Lockport, Dunkirk Lakeshore, Genesee Region, Salamanca, Jamestown, and Twin Tiers USBC. No Affiliate Memberships will be accepted at the tournament site. All USBC rules shall prevail in this tournament.
This tournament shall be conducted on a scratch basis with three (3) divisions: Division I consisting of averages of 200 and over, Division II consisting of averages from 180–199, and Division III consisting of averages of 179 and under. Bowlers whose averages qualify them for Division II or III may enter in a higher division, if desired. Bowlers whose averages qualify them for Division I may only enter Division I.
Entrants must report one (1) hour prior to their scheduled time. A tardy bowler may commence bowling with the frame then in progress and will receive zero (0) for the frames not bowled. Substitutes will be allowed if they meet all requirements. No pacers will be allowed.

AVERAGE
Entrant must use their highest 2018-19 book average anywhere for 21 games or more in any association.
(a) A bowler with no previous average must use their highest current USBC average for 21 games or more as of the entry closing date. Verification will be requested.
(b) If no book average, verification must be obtained from the league secretary.
(c) If you do not have a qualifying average, you must bowl in Division I.
(d) Rules 319A-2, 319C, 319D, and 319E are waived. Rule 319a-3 will apply.

TIES
In the event of a tie, a complete 9th and 10th frame roll-off will be bowled. If there is more than one squad of qualifying rounds, a practice lane will be made available to first-round qualifiers.
Participants will be expected to be in proper bowling attire [examples: skirts, skorts, Bermudas, slacks, dress jeans (no holes)]. (No shorts – subject to disqualification)

DISQUALIFICATIONS
An entrant, while participating in a scheduled event, may be disqualified for:
 an infraction of the rules
 use of foul language or conduct derogatory to the best interest of this tournament
 consuming beverages or food in the settee area
 use of a foreign substance, which comes into contact with approaches or lanes
Individuals shall forfeit entry fee, prize fund, and/or award.

FORMAT FOR EACH DIVISION
Each bowler will bowl four (4) games across eight (8) lanes. One lane courtesy will be observed.
The top five (5) qualifiers, based on a four (4) game total, will advance.
Qualifiers 5 and 4 will bowl one (1) game with the winners bowling one (1) game against Qualifier 3.
The winner will bowl one (1) game against Qualifier 2.
The winner will bowl one (1) game against the high qualifier for the title.

LANE ASSIGNMENTS
No lane changes will be made after lane assignments have been made. Lane assignments will be made by division unless a request is made at the time of entry to bowl with another participant in a different division. The higher-average entrant will be moved to bowl with the lower-average division. One lane courtesy will be observed.
Official scorekeeper will be provided, as needed, under the supervision of the Tournament Director.
Prize ratio will be at least one (1) prize for every ten (10) entries.
The Tournament Director, along with the tournament committee, reserves the right to make final decisions if circumstances do not permit the application of any of the above rules. SEE RULE 304.

DISCLAIMER
Bowlers whose name appear on the official entry, or their authorized replacements, hereby agree that the Western New York Queen’s and its agents shall be liable only to the extent of returning entry fees if and when entrants shall be prevented from bowling in the tournament through delay, unexpected but necessary schedule change, or premature termination of the tournament, which may be brought about by war, national emergency or cause relating thereto or resulting there from, fire, strikes, lockouts, labor difficulties, or other causes beyond the control of the Western New York Queen’s Tournament.
