Bowler of the Year Criteria Followed by Previous Winners
Adult Male Bowler Of The Year
Award Will be Governed By The Following Point System
1. Bowler must bowl 45 games in a GBUSBCA winter league to earn points for Bowler-of-the-Year honors. All sport and challenge averages will be adjusted per the USBC Adjustment Chart. Only GBUSBCA leagues are considered for this award.
2. High Composite Average
Points awarded for places 1-5 (3, 2, 1½, 1, ½)*
*Must have an official average for a minimum of 75 games in at least one GBUSBCA league and 21 games in a second GBUSBCA league in 2 different centers. All GBUSBCA leagues count toward composite average regardless of number of games.
3. High Average in Association (1 league – minimum 75 games)
Points awarded for places 1-5 (2, 1, ½, ½, ½)

GBUSBCA City Combine Champion Scratch – 4 points
GBUSBCA City Singles Champion Scratch – 3 points
GBUSBCA City Doubles Champions Scratch – 2 points each
GBUSBCA City Team Champions Scratch – 1 point each
GBUSBCA City Handicap Champion (any event) – 1 point each
6. GBUSBCA Kickoff Tournament
Points awarded for places 1-8
1st – 2 points
2nd – 8th – 1 point each
7. GBUSBCA League Officers Tournament
High Scratch Series – 1 point
8. GBUSBCA Me & Mine Tournament
High Scratch Series (each division) – 1 point
9. Honor Scores in GBUSBCA League Competition
900 series – 3 points each
850 – 899 series – 1½ points each
800 – 849 series – 1 point each
300 game – ½ point each
Note: Add 1 point if bowled on sport condition.
10. Honor Scores in GBUSBCA Tournament Competition
900 series – 5 points each
850 – 899 series – 3 points each
800 – 849 series – 2 points each
300 game – 1 point each

TIE-BREAKERS – if a tie exists after the criteria above is calculated, all points from the tournaments below will be used to break the tie. If a tie still exists, the honor will be shared.
USBC Masters Tournament (National)
Points awarded for places 1-32

3rd–16th – 2 points each
17th–32nd – 1 point each
USBC Open Championships – any event
